Rodman Philbrick, adult and children’s author who wrote Freak the Mighty, loves to fish near his home in Maine. For the seventy-fifth anniversary edition of The Wind in the Willows, the book was republished with lovely illustrations by Ernest H. Shepard. Shepard also created the original illustrations of what other well-loved children’s classic, published in 1926, that has a full cast of delightful characters? Hint: Those characters live in the Hundred Acre Woods!
